The Dust City Diner is a working 1940's-era diner created for the annual Burning Man festival in Nevada. The entire piece is constructed on a flatbed trailer so it can be moved to a different location every evening and stay "open dusk 'til dawn."

The "neon" sign beckons as bee-hived waitresses serve up hot grilled cheese sandwiches and steaming coffee to weary travelers. Glenn Miller music, pulp magazines, a 48-star American flag and lots of ashtrays help complete the mood.

The intimate scale encourages visitors and staff to interact with each other providing an opportunity for playful role playing and engagement.
